About Us
WeDoGood is a mission-driven nonprofit founded by Charles Dame, a disabled U.S. Marine Corps veteran, in Stuart, Florida.
Born from a deeply personal calling to support the family of his fallen comrade, GySgt Terry J. Elliott, Charles transformed a moment of grief into a movement of gratitude. This act of compassion laid the foundation for WeDoGood, an organization dedicated to honoring and uplifting those who serve our communities.
Our team comprises veterans, first responders, healthcare professionals, and passionate civilians who understand the unique challenges faced by these heroes. We believe that service should be met with support, and sacrifice should be honored with action.
Through community engagement, therapeutic programs, and heartfelt events, we strive to create spaces where healing, connection, and joy flourish.Our guiding principle is simple yet profound:"One Good Deed Can Change Everything." Our Programs
🌊 Heroes for Habitat
This hands-on environmental initiative connects veterans, first responders, and their families with meaningful conservation work on Florida’s waterways. In partnership with organizations like Sea & Shoreline and Angler Action Foundation, participants engage in projects such as seagrass restoration, habitat enhancement, and waterway cleanups. These activities not only aid ecological restoration but also provide therapeutic and community-building experiences for those who have served.
🏌️ Golf for Heroes
Our signature program, Golf for Heroes, offers both national fundraising tournaments and local golf clinics. These events provide opportunities for veterans, first responders, healthcare workers, and single parents to connect, heal, and thrive through the game of golf. From professionally organized tournaments to free clinics hosted by top golf professionals, participants enjoy camaraderie, skill-building, and recognition for their service.
